I’ve got something to say…
It’s better to burn out than to fade away.

That pretty much describes Sean’s life. He lived everyday to the fullest. Today we celebrate that life!

Sean Christopher Hinsch was born on August 28, 1969, in Pipestone, MN to Cynthia and Neal Hinsch. He was a bright spot in everyone’s life. His love for life and adventure took him to all those places we read about in books.

His favorite place to be, however, was at Lake Benton. There he could fish, swim or just sit around the campfire celebrating all the gifts God had to offer. He loved to drive the boats and jet ski, stirring up the water in his wake.

Riding his motorcycle gave him great joy. Those poker runs were so much fun for him. The people he met and shared a laugh were never forgotten.

He had a wonderfully creative side. His love of music, poetry and drawing will live on. Looking at his paintings and listening to his original song on YouTube brings him into the room with you.

Movies were a big part of entertainment for Sean. “True Lies” was his “go to sleep movie.” Comedies from the 80’s and 90’s were a big hit with him. Christmas would not be complete without watching “Christmas Vacation”. Anybody who was around Sean knew that “Tommy Boy,” was his favorite. Sean’s rendition of “fat guy in a little coat” made everyone laugh. As you can tell, humor was a huge part of who Sean was.

Speaking of humor, the Vikings were his favorite team. He loved to watch them play and, of course, yell at the screen because the team or the coaches were not doing their job. We would make the trek to Mankato to enjoy the experience of watching them practice in person. What Fun!

Sean’s love of football was not limited to the NFL. In high school he played fullback. Later in his life, he enjoyed working for the Storm team. Together with his brother Jared and brother-in-law Jeremy they kept things moving on the field.

Cooking was another love of Sean’s. Most of the fun was in trying new recipes. His Scandinavian heritage came into play with fixing fish in different ways.

Watching him with his Grandpa J. was a complete joy. Lessons taught to him by his grandpa never left. He said missed him everyday.

Sean had a servant’s heart. During his lifetime, he sought to give all people his best. His wife Candie said that if he had $5.00 he would give at least half, if not more to whomever needed it.

Sean’s last great adventure began with Candie and Izabella, as they were going to camp across America. Listening to comedians and audio books offered background as they were on their way.

His friends are too numerous to mention. His ability to make those friends was unbelievable. Each has a memorable story to share.

Family centered Sean. He and Candie were married on June 20, 1992. To this union 4 children were born… Shay (Dan Knobloch), Brennan, Kyndra, and Izabella. His grandchildren, Annabell, Logan, Corbin and Keldan brought him great joy. He used to say that going to a toy store was great fun for him, because he could reach higher for the better toys!

Sean is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, his father, Neal, mother, Cynthia (Mark Jamison), Travis (Bobbi Jo), Jared (Kayla), his Uncle Curt, numerous nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
